Our Kickstarter campaign for the wide mouth version of the Ergo Spout® launches on March 29, 2022. There are three things you should know before the launch begins.
Kickstarter is a crowdfunding platform where companies or individuals can raise funds to create products and projects. It works a bit like Go Fund Me but with a promise of a reward for your donation. Those that contribute to campaigns are known as "backers." Backers pledge funds towards the campaign and creators promise to deliver "rewards" depending on the amount of the pledge.
In our case you will pledge a certain amount in exchange for one or more wide mouth spouts. Once we collect everyone's pledges, we will place an order with our manufacturer and send them to you once they arrive at our warehouse. It's a lot like a pre-sale of a product.
Funding Goal. Each Kickstarter campaign has a funding goal. This is the amount that must be reached in order for the campaign to be successful. If we don't reach the funding goal, then the pledges are returned to the backers. If we do reach our goal, credit cards are charged at the end of the campaign and we are committed to deliver the rewards to each backer.
With your help we should reach our funding goal pretty quickly.
Days to go. At the top of a campaign you'll see the number of days that are left. Once the campaign expires you won't be able to contribute to the Kickstarter and may lose out on special pricing.
Estimated Delivery. This is when we plan on shipping out the rewards. We already have completed the tooling and mold making process which means all we need to do is place our first order. In normal years this might mean we could deliver pretty quickly, but we have given ourselves extra time to account for the international shipping issues that manifested last year.
Pricing and Launch Day Special. There will be special pricing for the Kickstarter campaign which is discounted from the retail price. There will also be an exclusive rock bottom launch day special. The launch day special will be a price that is only available on the first day of the campaign. If you want to get the best price, you should plan on backing the campaign on the first day.
Some of you may have been around long enough to remember our first Kickstarter campaign. We launched the original Ergo Spout® for regular mouth jars on Kickstarter in the summer of 2018.
We were able to hit the funding goal in just 14 Hours and successfully shipped to our backers as promised! We are so grateful for the support we received from our backers and customers with that first product launch. We are also excited for this second Kickstarter adventure.
Initially the Ergo Spout® Wide will only come in the Classic White color. This is due to the minimum order quantities we have to place with our manufacturer. If we get enough orders, we can add colors to the selection.
In order to get to the level where we can add the additional colors we have set some stretch goals. Each stretch goal is an additional funding goal, that when reached will unlock a new color. You'll be able to see the stretch goals and colors when the campaign launches.

Just received Our Ergo spouts, seem well designed and made of quality materials to last. Haven’t had the opportunity to use them yet but it seems that they well serve their purpose well. So far I’m impressed.
